Bats in the Belfry
"Ghost... spirit... specter... hey, A.W., what's another word for ghost?" I call, struggling with a book review.
"Haint?" she says.
"Oh, lost sou - HAINT?! Whose grandma are you?!" I laugh.
"What? I thought you'd be impressed."
"Yeah, if I were a 90-year-old farmer's wife."
